Our History

Alcohol Services Center, Inc. (ASC) Was organized in 1971 under a grant from the Office of Economic Opportunity.  In June, 1973 the agency became affiliated with the Jackson Council on Alcoholism as their grantee.  The National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism began funding the program in March 1973 until September 1981.  The Mississippi Department of Mental Health Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse began funding in 1975 to the present.

Our Purpose

Alcohol Services Center, Inc. (ASC) purpose is to reduce the incidences of substance abuse problems through outpatient substance abuse therapy and prevention services to individuals, groups and organization in Hinds County and surrounding areas.

Our Mission

Alcohol Services Center, Inc. (ASC) mission is to provide in-dept individualized, supportive, and spiritual, substance abuse/behavioral/mental health services with compassion and empathy to ALL.
